A BILL to amend article seventeen, chapter seventeen-c of the code
of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section
six-b, relating to requiring trucks and trailers hauling logs
of timber to be covered with a tarpaulin.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article seventeen, chapter seventeen-c of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section six-b,
to read as follows:
ARTICLE 17. SIZE, WEIGHT AND LOAD.
§17C-17-6b. Vehicles transporting timber to be covered.





It is unlawful to transport timber upon a highway in this state in a truck bed, trailer or open motor vehicle without first
securely covering the timber with a tarpaulin.





NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require persons hauling
logs to cover the logs with a tarpaulin.
